The Ethics of Politicians by Mark Faris

The Business Ethics of Politicians

When will our politicians finally act ethically and demonstrate good Business Ethics?

How much contempt for the truth can they continue to exhibit and flaunt the voters of this country?

Their poor behavior and lack of Business Ethics needs to stop immediately.  What a horrible signal to send to us, our children included, and the global community.

Take the fricking wax out of your ears:  you can’t do whatever you please whenever it suits you.

Its lights out for you venomous vipers.  Your desire for power and control coupled with greed and arrogance is wicked.

Time and time again our elected national officials put their own interests first.  You call your behavior ethical and worthy of good Business Ethics?

Eighty eight percent of us polled think your job performance stinks.  Who amongst you are honest, accountable, and responsible for your own conduct and behavior?

The media has portrayed our national debt as a crisis of grand proportions.  On a historical basis, they are wrong.

When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, that was a crisis.

When the Bay of Pigs occurred, that was a crisis.

When we allowed terrorists to infiltrate our airports and board our planes almost ten years ago, that was a crisis.

What we have here is a crisis far graver; we have 535 legislators who are morally and ethically bankrupt.  Where are the Business Ethics?

There are some examples from the business community who have averted this calamity. Unfortunately, the majority of businesses in this country have much to improve with regards to personal and Business Ethics.

W expect and demand straight talk.  Where the hell is it?

Americans can deal with bad news, and we are willing to make sacrifices.  We just want factual information so we can make the right choices.

Here are some facts from fiscal year 2010.  The U.S. government collected $2.2 trillion: 40% of revenues came from social insurances taxes, 43% from individual taxes, 7% in corporate and other taxes, and a tiny 3% in excise taxes.

I am not a tax expert but I have founded or co-founded three businesses in my time.  So, I understand arithmetic and I understand good Business Ethics

Our corporations have to start kicking down more than 7%.  My 83 year old mother doesn’t need to spend another $100 per month courtesy of Medicare.

Here is a thought for you politicians: do the right thing and please step down from your offices.

We are tired of your lack of honesty, funding your guaranteed pensions, funding your cost of living increases, and funding your first-class medical coverage.

We are really tired of your finger pointing, criticisms of others, and lack of accountability.  Please point the ten fingers you have at your tummy first and always.

We can no tolerate your lack of personal and Business Ethics on any level.
